Found this neat CB750 last time wandering on BikeExif ... again. At the time of writing this post, Rebellion of the machines' website is still under construction, but I guess it's better they focus on this type of build rather than waste their time on creating a website.

Inspiration - Lucky 7 FZ750
Not the first (modified) FZ750 found in these pages. Maybe I developed something like an obsession for the strange looking, overlooked 5 valver. In the years, it's been completely overshadowed by its Suzuki counterpart, the GSXR slabby. That makes it more exclusive and uncommon, which is good in a way.
This bike is a Lucky 7 build (not sure it's still a running business).

Back in september 2014, while looking for a new project I spotted this tweaked first gen GSXR 750 on a well-known classified site.

Tweaked R1100S
Now this is one seriously tweaked R1100S (from Japan) and one that actually gets raced given the transponder on the forks.
From the picture, this advanced track version comes with Öhlins shocks (at least at the front), Brembo Oro calipers, side exhaust (though keeping the stock down pipes), tasty rearsets and a total loss system as the generator and poly-V belt are missing.

Even if it feels good to know we're not a lot out there to race a 955 Triumph, there's always a part of me thinking there's certainly a good reason for that. One of them being that there's a far easier route to build a good racer ... Another might be because the 955i base feels like an anvil when thrown from one turn to another.
But then, from time to time as you wander the internet, you come across some other desperate attempt to turn a 955 into a decent track tool like the one below. There's at least one side of it that I like - the left - even if I'm really not sure about the tribal sticker on the swingarm.
But from the right side, while showing a more advanced degree of preparation - with rearsets, heat extractor and run-faster-stickers - I'm certainly far less convinced. It seems like the exhaust, which by the way is a genuine Triumph sport can, hangs off way too low.
Anyhow, let's salute the efforts and bravery ...

It's a Daytona, but you get the idea ...
Mono seat tail with great graphics, inverted forks, powerful brakes and beefy lower triple clamp, black frame, carbon protections, ... It's a nice tool apparently used on track.
