Inspiration - Rebellion of the machines' CB750

Found this neat CB750 last time wandering on BikeExif ... again. At the time of writing this post, Rebellion of the machines' website is still under construction, but I guess it's better they focus on this type of build rather than waste their time on creating a website.

Broken ignition cover (part 2)

January 2015 - A PC25 CBR cover for replacement has been sourced. It's second hand, dark rather than light grey, but looks clean inside out and comes with a new gasket. That'll do it.

Inspiration - Lucky 7 FZ750

Not the first (modified) FZ750 found in these pages. Maybe I developed something like an obsession for the strange looking, overlooked 5 valver. In the years, it's been completely overshadowed by its Suzuki counterpart, the GSXR slabby. That makes it more exclusive and uncommon, which is good in a way.

This bike is a Lucky 7 build (not sure it's still a running business).

Airbox and carbs (part 2)

January 2015 - With all the admission system out, the airbox gets a clean and a thorough inspection only to discover that time has not been keen on the pipe pairs' sealant.

The usual oil puddle and equally filled drain tube washed out rather easily. A new layer of fresh sealant has been applied over the old one as a quick and first fix (which later proved to be a poor one).

Broken ignition cover (part 1)

January 2015 - The dark place where we're working had kept a broken generator pulse cover secret until now. The first quick inspection had revealed what initially seemed to be a scuffed cover, but the truth is a little more serious.
The bad thing about it is that the engine had already been started that way, but fortunately not reved too much. But still, there was a small leak of fresh oil surrounding the broken ring and there was something to worry about knowing the pulse sensor and rotor could be damaged inside.

The supporting ring is cracked inside the cover

Time to source another cover first. To be continued ...
